New Dell PowerProtect Products Raise The Bar In Data Recovery Tech

Dell Technologies has just announced a refresh of its PowerProtect series of data management solutions aimed at both private users and enterprise customers alike. The main takeaway from today’s news is that a significant part of the company’s portfolio PowerProtect offerings about to benefit from much more meaningful integrations aimed at improving their synergy with other popular Dell solutions such as the VMware Tanzu ecosystem.

Enhanced Kubernetes support and robust cloud data protection capabilities will both be part of the new VMware Tanzu integration. A handful of new hardware protection solutions are also taking the stage today, with the overall message of the varied launch event being that Dell is under no illusions regarding the universality of modern data protection solutions. I.e. the general lack of universality, as the company seems more adamant than ever to continue pursuing this software-as-a-service (SaaS) strategy which already reimagined a significant part of its traditional business model.

Of course, it is another matter entirely whether the market will respond to these new solutions in a receptive fashion, though Dell has been doing quite decently on the service front in recent months, so it’s no wonder the company’s ambitions are now visibly growing on a regular basis – both in data recovery and beyond.
